About the Artist
I remember when I was a little I preferred to draw my own picture to color (always in the lines) than whatever was in the coloring books. I was the one who drew Tippy the Turtle and the Pirate from the back of my comic books and wanted to send them in to see if I passed the "artist" test. I used to create ballpoint doodle masterpieces in my notebooks instead of listening to the teacher. For my 17th birthday I asked for a 35mm camera. I started making my own earrings when I couldn't find a pair to match my outfit. Then I started stringing beads and learning about wire wrapping stones to make pendants. I bought a loom to weave beads. I taught myself how to build websites, along with taking a class in Photoshop at the New School in New York City. I live for YouTube tutorials. One of my favorite gifts I ever received was a camera capable of taking photos of moon craters. I learned to sew. I started painting with watercolors. Sometimes I just couldn't achieve my goals (crocheting comes to mind - I just can't do it!) but I'm determined to at least try! Even though I have spent the majority of my career working in a corporate office, there has always been a creative outlet on the side. I find my joy when I am creating ♥ |
